Woodrun

In the distance a shadow moves.  The foxes, deer, rabbits -- all freeze and swivel their ears.  What could this strange apparition be?  It moves through the glade with grace and ease at surprising speed.  Is it a threat?  A predator or prey?  It does not exhibit the postures of caution and fear that they all subscribe to.  But in a moment, it has vanished, and the afternoon resumes.
