Shuttler

In the early days of the shuttle program, NASA engineers worked diligently on all facets of development and design, as well as marketing the concept to the legislative and executive branches.  It wasn't until their lead engineer worked well into the night to perfect its design using a model for the final congressional hearing -- that's when NASA finally sealed the deal and secured necessary funding.  Rare footage exposes his efforts, fine tuning details that would sway lawmakers and lead to one of the most successful space programs in human history.
