Acquitted Critic

Even prize-winning authors love to offer reviews of other people's work.  We can forgive such a transgression when the source is so erudite.

  1. Our reviewer builds his critique around a book's qualities that other critics often leave out and leave out to their peril. Consumers want to know not only the quality of a tome's content but also its construction. How strong is its cover? How smooth are its pages? And most important for the avid critic, how loud can one slam the book closed to express disgust?
