Post Angle
Note that each of the captive salmonidae were bestowed a name before their return to freedom. These included Dave, Bob, Amy, Peter, Bill, etc. who were all neighbors in the San Antonio River. The general feeling in the 'hood was that while life inside the net was not so harmful, it was no match for an undercut bank. Their brief acquaintance with the gentle, fun-loving human boys brought new life lessons and an annoying hole in the upper lip.

Judge by its Cover
You know how it goes. Can't put the book down. Toothbrush in one hand, book in the other. Or maybe it's a fork, a pencil, a comb, a vacuum cleaner. But the book is in the other hand. Sometimes you sneak out from under the covers when no one is looking and take-in a few pages...

Runners Sigh
There is a well known phenomena that occurs in the Northern Hemisphere as the Summer Solstice approaches. Since the magnitude of electrostatic force of attraction between two point charges is directly proportional to the product of the magnitudes of charges and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them, this can cause a very brief, relatively harmless vortex of force affecting bodies of low mass. One can demonstrate it:
1. Cover half-a-million centimeters on foot rapidly.
2. This builds a sufficient inverse electrostatic force; be careful not to discharge too soon.
3. Pass beneath a perfectly formed multi-colored arch in an equidistant pattern between rubber cones.
4. Then watch and feel how the universal law of gravitation coupled with the magnitude of the force, since it is proportional to the product of the gravitational mass, causes an extreme attraction toward earth's center -- the larger of the two masses.
In other words, sometimes the earth acts like a magnet and pins a human body to its surface.

Goal Achieved
It was an intense game; opening round of the playoffs. The Lasers led early 1-0, but then the SF team caught-up near the end. Into the first overtime, neither team could score. In the second one, SF put a goal in and LA was nearly finished. But Liam popped-out of a scrum with the ball and ripped downfield to score with only a minute left to play. After two overtimes, each team gets to shoot five penalty kicks.
So Liam stood in the LA goal as the five best SF players attempted shots. Only one got in. The Lasers managed to get one out of four, too. So this was it, the final shot of the game. Coach said, "Liam, it's your turn." Still wearing his red goalie jersey, he gave it his best.

Radiant
For decades, engineers and theologians have pondered the meaning and purpose of the strange small orb that descended on earth so many decades ago. Until one day a seemingly average yet remarkable boy happened upon the exhibit only to elicit a glow and its slow transformation into a sharp-angled obelisk. This threw the scientific community into turmoil, religious leaders into rhapsody, and inspired great music composers and artists with a fresh perspective. Engineers? Well, they calmly sharpened pencils and pulled fresh paper off the shelf, after lunchtime.
