On the shore, the possibilities are endless.  It could be a major whaling expedition, a round-the-world cruise, an America's Cup race, diving among the coral, tapping that petroleum reservoir, busting through polar ice, hucking a massive swell.  But most people end-up on a cheap inflatable raft earning a sunburn.
