Play Grounds

Ever have one of those mornings when your morning coffee just kicks-in all of a sudden out of nowhere?  Things are going just fine when, bang, that burst of energy appears.

Fog Lite

On their latest road trip, a couple of teammates slipped out the back of Madison Square Garden before their game with the Knicks.  When not in the gym, they're always on a plane, in a hotel, or chowing-down, and they rarely get time to themselves.  On this day the locals were gushing about the clear skies and the break in the stormfront, but it's all in your perspective.

Savvy Avy

Back in the day, we didn't have a lot of cash to buy a fancy set of snow shovels.  In fact, after hooking-up with the beacon, probe, and avalanche shovel -- the budget was pretty much shot.  Life was good if the shovel was only used for liberating the jeep from a snowbank, creating a good stash for that 6-pack, carving a smooth path to the outhouse, burying the dog deposits until springtime, etc.

Triple Threat

The brass section missed their flight and will arrive tomorrow, and the keyboard player is stuck in traffic.  But the show must go on, and the audience won't stand for excuses.  So Liam says, "I got your back."  Two encores later and everyone wondered whether he even needed the accompaniment.
