Ever alert, the engineer must give priority to passenger safety; all else is secondary. Today Thomas the Tank Engine weathered a severe thunderstorm, dodged numerous elk on the rails, scolded children playing near the tracks, navigated some rickety and unstable terrain, but managed to arrive safely at Sodor's central station.

Damsel and Rascal

It started with a spark, a scream, a wisp of smoke. Panic ensued, and all the scientists escaped into the 4th dimension tunnel. Within minutes, the President assembled a task force of the nations top rescue operations personnel, and their leader flew-in to save the day.

Price of Success
After working a 24-hour shift at one Fukushima nuclear reactor, Liam retreats to his cabin and promptly falls asleep while waving to the paparazzi from his porthole. Despite the triumph of modern engineering -- multiple reactors surviving an 8.9 magnitude earthquake and even a 2nd blow from its resulting tsunami, there is still concern that the ensuing damage may harm the local environment.
